    • Sedation and injectable pain medicine

    • General anesthesia

    • Surgery performed by a licensed veterinarian

    • Tattoo

      • Every pet spayed or neutered at our clinic will receive a small, green tattoo next to their incision, to let future caregivers know that the pet no longer has internal reproductive organs. In the event the pet is ever lost or rehomed, a tattoo can help a pet avoid unnecessary, invasive surgery.

    • Dogs are sent home with 5 days of pain medication

    • Here is a link to post-op care instructions

You should allow between 2.5 to 3.5  hours from your drop-off time.

  • Feral cats are those that cannot be safely handled by unfamiliar people. Unfortunately, we are not equipped to care for cats that are not accustomed to human interaction

  • Under Oregon law, a dog that has permanent canine teeth or that is six months of age or older must be inoculated against rabies. Although rabies vaccination for cats is not a requirement by law, FIXbend requires current rabies vaccination for all pets (dogs and cats) 3 months or older.

The clinic can be a highly stressful environment for your pet. Should your pet accidentally bite someone and not be up to date on her/his rabies vaccine Deschutes county will require that your pet be quarantined, possibly at the humane society, for 10 days or more to ensure they do not have rabies (whether or not they are an indoor or outdoor cat). This can be expensive for you and tremendously stressful for your pet and family.

The requirement is also for the safety and peace of mind of our FIXbend volunteers who would be required to seek medical care in case of a bite (and would be required to get a rabies vaccination if the pet who bit them is not vaccinated).

If our monthly vaccine clinic doesn’t fit your schedule, we can come to you!
